I have decided to write about Max Factor's website, because I think it is very useful and shows how much of an amazing brand it is... First of all- tutorials! By accusing their website you can find a lot of useful tips on how to create certain looks, using their products, which I think is very effective as it encourages their customers to buy Max Factor products.
It is not a step by step guide, it is a video showing you exactly what to do and how to do it! I think it's a great way of 'educating' the customers through a website.
People that are not very adventurous with make up can also gain inspiration as there are videos showing how to create very simple looks, also. They did not assume that everyone can do the perfect base etc., but instead really thought about all kinds of people in order to suit their needs, and inform them about tricks and ways of applying make up, to make their lives a bit easier!
You can also find a tool on there (pictured above), which helps you to find the right product by asking you to tick all the characteristic of the product that you are looking for. It almost seems like they wanted to replace a person that works on a counter, with this tool as the purpose of it is exactly the same. It helps you to look for a product, potentially rising the chances of you buying something off their website. It is another great idea, and it is not something you see on make up sites very often. They are usually a lot less specific, and in result less helpful!
You can also find out about the History of the brand, which is a bit less exciting but interesting (e.g. Max Factor invented the word make-up!) if you want to get to know the brand a bit more, or if you're for instance thinking of working for the brand. It includes some very interesting facts about how the brand started, and some information about their products and their evolvement.
