The first advert that I've looked at was for the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara.
The first thing that we see is the logo... This I think effectively establishes the brand, and lets the audience know what brand the product is, in case they like what they see and they want to purchase it. The next few frames show two models, one is posing with her hands up, and one looks like she is spreading her wings... (Pictured right). This image is shown at the same time as the voice over says LENGHT and VOLUME, which I think is a great idea of visualising it in a very creative and fun way.
Next we see a shot of a make up artist taking the mascara out of her make up belt. This is a way of showing to the audience that even make up artists use it, and that they mean what they say when they say "Max Factor- Make Up of Make-Up Artists".
Next shot shows the VOLUME and LENGTH combined, which looks very interesting and makes the audience want to watch the advert till the end. It is only about twenty seconds long, however it does effectively keep the viewers interested in what they are watching.
The way they have visualised this is very creative, and effective.
Then, we see the packaging! This is very useful in case you do end up wanting to purchase this product, and you can't remember the name, for instance.
It also stands out against the background, which makes it very easy to remember.

The second advert that I have watched is for the Flipstick, which is essentially a lipstick, with two different colours on each end of the stick. A very creative idea for people that for example travel a lot or have a busy lifestyle.
The busy lifestyle has been represented in a way that the model is sat in a make-up room backstage, and it takes her a few seconds to apply the lipstick. This makes the advert seem like the brand knows what the audience need nowadays, as everyone is always busy and is constantly in a rush. It shows that you could apply it anywhere.
Next scene shows all the variety of lipsticks that you can get, giving the audience an option of a few colours. It also shows the product in a way that is very clear, and demonstrates the packaging effectively.
Then we see the model on the catwalk looking incredible!
By this Max Factor wanted to show that even though you might be in a rush, and be leading a very busy lifestyle, you can still look your best... simply by using their product! It is a psychological way of making people buy their products, but it is also very effective and definitely works!
