A new term, a new year, a new me and a new UNIT! I am going to use this blog to collect all of my research, designs and ideas and keep them in one place... This will hopefully help me come up with great concepts for my shoots and pieces of work that I could use in my portfolio.
This unit will require me to research a make up brand and then on that- base 6 of my looks/ ideas for photoshoots. It all sounds really exciting to me, and it is something I want to explore further... I have never perceived myself as a 'fashion MUA', because I feel like my style is quite consistent and I never really try anything that I would consider 'out of my comfort zone'. However, I want to make a change and try something different this term, because I won't know if I like it or if it's me until I actually try it.
In our first lesson of this term, we were given a list of brand to choose from... This was very simple and quick for me as straight away I had spotted that Max Factor was one of them. It is a brand that originated where I come from myself and I have always wanted to work for because I truly believe in the quality of their products. They have never disappointed me, and are just as good as products that costs twice as much. One of my favourite make up artists Pat McGrath also works for the brand, which makes it even more special. Max Factor was also the only brand to come up with names and ways for things. For example, the word 'make up' or a mascara wound. It is fascinating and researching this brand makes me feel even more passionate about it, which also makes me really look forward to this term.
